Nutritional Coaching
| Adequate nutrition, particularly the availability of vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals, is essential to improving the quality of life and the resistance to stress and illness. In particular, orphans and vulnerable children as well as people living with HIV/AIDS can derive great benefit from healthy nutrition. Â Food-based approaches to adequate nutrition form an essential part in the improvement of the nutritional status of developing economies. Therefore, in addition to producing food to supplement the diets of our beneficiaries, the Siyakhana project provides participants and caregivers with holistic training including information and coaching on nutrition and practical herbalism alongside training in ecologically-appropriate urban food production. |
